Can you blame me for not liking my brother as a person?

I'm 29, and my brother is 26. If any of that matters. I'll start off with one of the biggest reasons I don't like him. He has a pomeranian shih tzu. A couple months ago we were having dinner at my dads. His dog for some reason bit my sister on the leg, then my brother slapped the dog. I was kind of in shock at the time, but I called my brother the next day about it. He Essentially said that he doesn't care about my opinion, and that I need to mind my own business and let him raise his dog the way he wants. I said that of you were raising your dog right, then it wouldn't be bitting people. I Also tried reporting him to the police, and several nearby humane societies, but they said that what I described doesn't warrant any action. On top of all that, my brother has anger issues. He calls me for advice all the time about his relationship, and I've never turn him down. So I call him for some advice, and he was like "nick, I'm have a really shitty day, so do whatever you want. Goodbye" I try being his friend, and being nice but lately I realized that I just really don't like my brother, and im not gonna go out of my way to talk to him anymore. Can you blame me?

Just because someone is blood, doesn’t mean you have to like them. I have many family members that I don’t like. No one is forcing you to be in his life, so if you don’t like him or the things that he does, cut off contact.
