Do people deserve multiple chances? Does anyone in life deserve more than 5 chances?

My sister's boyfriend for example

He stole from my grandpa, my mom, my mom's friend (twice), his friends, and his grandmother and cheated on my sister emotionally a few times, all within a span of 2 years

my mom kicked him out multiple times told him never to comeback, but my sister would not give in to that and kept sneaking him around us having my mom give him chance after chances in a way

Now he lives with us helps us is behaving himself thwse last few months, so maybe he changed but did he deserve multiple chances of 2 straight years of fucking up?

My mom put up with her boyfriend for a year and a half after he slapped her friend, lost her phone, crashed her car, cheated on her

Depends on the situation and the person. You observe them, evaluate the situation and decide.

I am very generous by giving chances but I'll see right through any person who don't become better after having screwed once and will abandon (in general meaning) them immediately if they caused problems to other about whom I care.

If they only caused problems to me personally, I might tolerate it, even many times, - depends on the problems and the measure of potential I see in them. But anyway it's really doubtful someone who could cause considerable problems to me could even set their foot in my life.

My sister must of found a cheat code of love to make my mom who feels this way about her boyfriend to give him enough chances to get it together to now be living with us lol

But right now because the boyfriend is behaving and doing things right it's a "hey see people CAN change" situation

Most people will forget they were idiots unless the boyfriend fucks up in the future
