- Moments later, the guy pulls the trigger... joining his son in death
- Result: the poor wife is now left without a family; she lost both her son and husband

I get it that he couldn't live with the guilt but he still left his wife a widow.

Considering on what you've told here it seems he did it out of having grief and despair after his son died in such an odd manner. As far as I'm concerned it's pretty obvious why he did it. I have no interest on calling a dead man cowardly and selfish. Even if he possibly is by definition. May they both rest in peace.

He was traumatized and not thinking. I get that people go through a lot, but suicide is never the answer. there's always a way to recover from how you're feeling in the moment

Yea i bet its hard bt he prob knew she’d kill him and be in jail had he not killed himself. Then again who knows what he's thinking. Either way, suicide was not the answer
