Why is my boyfriend a jerk to me in front of his friends?

when it's just me and my boyfriend he's the nicest, sweetest, best guy ever and I love him so much.

but when we're in front of his friends he belittles me, yells at me, calls me a bitch, and other things for no reason.

when he does this I usually leave the group because I start crying, but my boyfriend tells me to grow up. and then later when we're alone he apologizes.

Your boyfriend is an asshole. break up with him. seriously putting up with that type of treatment makes you look low as a woman. he shows no respect for you and by you putting up with that you show that you don't respect yourself. he does it to look cool. a lot of guys think that they look more manly when they hurt a girl and put her down. He should never do that ever. He's not a nice sweet guy if he treats you like that. You need to move on.

I'm going with "his friends are complete scumbags, that's how they treat girls, so he treats you like that in front of them to fit in". Sorry. Normally it seems to be the most opposite--we get the urge to be nicer in front of male friends, kiss her and hug her more.
