he probably likes you. men can sometimes be incredible assholes to women they like and can't have, for whatever reason. tell him to go suck a dick the next time he is rude to you. and if your friend protests, tell her the same thing. don't allow yourself to be anyone's doormat.
Secretely he probably thinks you are cute or desires you but he thinks if he puts you down then his girlfriend will not suspect he thinks you are cute or he thinks it will give him browny points with his girlfriend or he is just a insecure boy that thinks making rude remarks to women will make his girlfriend like him more.
He could be jealous, or he could like you. In either case your friend should shut that behavior down.
Stop being nice to him and tell your friend what he's doing if he continues then stop being friends with all of them
