How long does it take for a guy to introduce his girlfriend to his parents?

I'm in a relationship for 11months now yet my boyfriend have not introduced me to his parents or any of his family member yet. I'm somewhat bothered by this because I have had relationships in the past and it didn't even took a week before I was introduced to the family.

I know he have a normal family, nothing to be embarrassed about, he talked about them a lot and some of his siblings are my friends on some social networking site. I know his parents knew I exist because he happened to mention about it once. I've been waiting for him to invite me to a family dinner or what.. I've been trying to be patient about it but I don't know until how long will my patience last now that our relationship would soon be turning a year.

i haven't told him how this bothers me though...

Mine hasn't introduced me either... it's been 7 months now. His parents definitely know about me and told him to invite me over, but it seems that every time he says I should come it's very out of the blue and at a time that's inconvenient for me or when I'll be out of town.

And his ex had the nerve of telling me she was introduced to his parents "within 2 weeks" of them starting to go out. Urg.

are you guys in a relationship with each other on Facebook? because that's how his family knew about me, when we put each other as "in a relationship" with the other person, they obviously knew about me and asked him about me.

i think you should tell him how you feel and suggest getting together for dinner or something. My boyfriend introduced me to his family within a few days, so 11 months seems like a very long time to not even meet his parents.

7 months :P unfortunately my family sucks and is very abusive verbally and emotionally to the people I date so I keep low key and hold off as long as possible. lol Next time I get married I probably wouldn't tell them.

That's a long time. After I'm exclusive, the only reason I wouldn't introduce a woman to my family is the distance involved.

Honestly, I’m also like that. Me and my boyfriend already been together for almost 4 months. I even moved in to his place already. He brought up the topic either last month or 2 months ago. And I replied positively. But then he never touched that topic again. I’m confused.. did he have second thought? Kinda jittery atm. I know he’s not super close with his family but he told me that one time that bringing a girl home is a big thing to him. I’m kinda scared he’s having second thought.. haven’t talked to him about this though..

Everyone is different, but I met my bfs family after 1 month. As it is worrying you I think you should talk to him about it and see if there are reasons for it
