Friend doesn’t like to see me doing better than her?

I have this friend, who anytime I achieve something, she always either tries to lessen my achievement by saying it’s not all that impressive or “match” it with something of her own. She can never just be happy for me without thinking about how she can compete with what I’ve just done. Should I confront her about it? I feel like she doesn’t want me doing better than her, always wants to be on the exact same level as me at everything and sees me as a competition.

Thats pre much how most people are in my opinion, competition is natural... you can always dig your heels in and keep 1 upping her XD sounds like she's being a little toxic but yah some people r just very competitive, dare her to beat you, direct that energy in a more positive way

Yes but I’m not competitive like that, especially not with friends. I don’t care if my friend is better than me at something. I’m only competitive if there’s a guy I like and others like him too 🤷‍♀️
