I talk back to them!
I ignore them
I try to just take it and try to talk to them later when they calmed down
I'd do or say something else (please say)

Trending & News "I see you're not in a good mood, do you wanna talk about what is going on? If you're not ready to talk now just let me know when and we can sort this out then. Till then drink some water, have a shower or a bath, watch your favorite movie, tv show, YouTube whatever it is to help you get your mind in a better space. Talk to you later x"
lol sounds like something you might hear on an answering machine. :P
Yeah probably would be more personal if it was not a made up scenario lol
seems like you'd make a loyal and good friend though. :)
If it is someone I know, then I can tell they're having a bad day and want a punching bag or just to vent... so I let them, I just don't take it personal and I use my endless patience and tolerance. I also have my ways to defuse, or neutralize or just handle their bursts of bad mood, and that's the idea... not to become an actual punching bag, but to take it and kick it away rather than kick it back.
If they are people I don't know, I just ignore them... ain't nobody got time for that.
I have this happen a bit, I am actually a good sponge at absorbing it.
you need to be one of my friends, family or work colleagues.(or certain people on here)
and I am there for you, you can shout, scream, cry, rage etc, I am a solid wall for them to rant at.
now I don’t know you, you may get it back in spades, situation depending.
@Still-alive thank you most appreciated
Depends. If it's just a regular bad day from like their car breaking down or bad day at work, I usually call em out a bit to give them that opening to let it out. But if I know it's more than that then I let them and act like they didn't do anything wrong. Because to me they didn't. It's not about me so it's easier not to get my feelings hurt. They need that anger release and outlet more than I need an apology or them to be nice. Yeah just depends.

If someone's having a bad day, I'll be that person they can vent to. I won't be their personal punching bag, having a bad day is no excuse to treat someone who doesn't deserve it like shit.. If I'm having a bad day or in a mood, I usually tell/warn people that... I mean, what if you are also having a bad day, and then this person snaps on you because "they" had a bad day? 🤷
I had a girlfriend years ago who would take it out on me if she had a bad day. I really wished that she had a better way of handling it rather than using me as a punching bag. I tried to deal with it but she had to bring me down to her level of misery. She should have been in therapy.
I give them the benefit of the doubt. If it happens frequently I call them out.
indeed. same here
I take that as "that's their issue" and move on. If I know I am good and I wasn't the one to add to the bad day.
Then I allow them their emotions and walk away.
"Have a bad day... I am just not gonna stay and listen call me later when your ready."
I call them out on it. I have my own life with difficult things, I don't need to put up with their BS. Especially if they bring those bad things upon themselves.
Would you stop being friends after that?
No, not necessarily unless they always do it. I tell them to stop it and to talk on a different occasion if they don't feel like it.
Depending on how much I care about them &/or have to occupy the same space as them, I'd notify them of their actions & how they're negatively affecting me. And their response to that will alter how I further handle the situation.
Become extra gentle around them. Things can escalate if you talk back
this is true yes. don't wanna fuel the flames
Once they’ve cooled down, they’ll feel bad and apologize. Not if you fight fire w fire
I’m trying not to soak up too much negative energy. As an empath, I have to be careful
Not trying to stir up my inner peace I’ve worked hard for lol
But you don’t want to be their scapegoat either so sometimes talking back is key
I usually ignore them or stay out of their bullet frenzy kill zone until they relax.
And then you try talking to them later?
depends whats said or how the person take it out on you
well like what can your partner say that might make you not talk to him or give him the silent treatment?
lol ok good. yeah communication is very important in relationships
Well, I’d let them act out and talk to them when they’re in a state when I can discuss the issue. I wouldn’t be rude or anything, that’s just a waste of time
My wife is having a particularly bad time at work because she has an asshole for a boss. She often is in a bad mood when she comes home. I try to just let her vent, I know she is not mad at me and after a little while she is okay.
Talk back to them. It is not my fault that they were having a bad day. I don't do that, therefore I cannot accept that as an excuse.
If it’s someone I know and care about then I just let them do it. They usually come back to apologise once they work through it and calm down.
I ignore and stop talking to them. When they're ok, I might talk to them again, otherwise I stay away from the person.
Usually i gjve them what they gjve me, unless i know they really goin through it
Initially, I get concerned because it's not like them to act that way. I let them blow off steam and talk with them when they've calmed down.
I would try to change their mood. Everyone has bad days, even me. I try not to take it out on other people but sometimes it happens. I would never start a fight over it.
I try to talk things over with them, I give them time to cool down before I approach them
I get out of the room somehow and leave them be until they get over it.
Ask him if he needs a hug
assuming his gender hmmm. yes he will take the hug
I start plotting their downfall. They just made an enemy for life.
Normally I explode back at them if i'm honest
yes its difficult not to sometimes
@karaspara aww temper issues, now count to 10.
Tell them to go shove it.
Would you stop being friends after that?
You’ve never been in this situation before?
I see but did you stop talking or ever interacting with them ever again after?
Depends on what they do/say and why
I roll eyes and cry in toilet.
😭😭😭😭
I don't keep them around as friends too long.
My mom does that sometimes I go to my room usually
Depends on my mood
Would you say you can handle it more often then not?
Yeah I guess
