Anyone else find easier being friend with boys rather than girls?

I don't want to shame one of the genders with this, it's just that in my person experience, I have been able to have a close friendship with a girl just one time and it's with my best friend. Everytime I try to meet new girls they turn out to be toxic, ditching you for the first hot guy they see around and talk behind your back.
Lots of male friendships instead turn out to be more chill and I feel like you can be more relaxed when you talk with them because they will rarely judge you.

But still I would like to have more female friends too so I want to ask if you too feel a change in how you behave with boys and how you behave with girls.

I do think it seems to be a theme. And I have experienced that in my life.

I don't have many female friends that I'm close with. Most of my female friends are gfs or wives of my friends. Or coworkers who are also taken or married. My best friends are all male. As a guy I find them to be better friends in general.

Why? Well, usually women don't like the things that I like. I'm a nerd, I like sports, I like weird shit, I like to make stupid jokes. They also, don't understand what it's like to be a man. I can't talk to them the same way I could a guy about a problem I am having, and expect them to understand, or provide good advice. Not saying it can't happen but it's rare. Women expect me to act a certain way, even as a friend. Other men let me be myself a lot more.

If I'm being honest, women are also kind of annoying, like to complain, and are overly competitive with each other. They also ask a lot of "favors" from their male friends. And rarely return the gesture.

That being said, they can be fun to have along. They can be goofy, they can be interesting, and I like hearing some of their stories sometimes, so I do have female friends. I'm just not as close with them.

I'm really sorry you've had so many bad experiences with other girls.
As for myself, I consider myself lucky I manage to get along well with both guys and girls!

I've been able to make great girl friends over the years (not always, but for roughly half my life.) My girl friend have all been really good people. But they are hard to find.
I like having both females and males as friends. But girls are way, way, more sensitive, and they get annoyed and hurt and put off by things people say, much more than guys do. Guys might think they get the brunt of that, more anger and frustration and expectations, and that probably is true. But girls get their feelings hurt more easily, and tend to think, or question, if they feel hurt, the person who said or did the thing is probably the reason and at fault (then they decide if they want to overlook it or not.) Guys can be more careless (and more callous), but sometimes their obliviousness is a bit refreshing. Girls have more patience for talking about issues in more detail, but they can get stymied in their own inaction, too.
We all just need to keep it in perspective, understanding the benefits and deficits of each style. I haven't experienced what you describe, but I believe you. They're not even very friendly or interactive or supportive online to each other. That tells you something.

I am so so happy for you that you had the opportunity to make great girl friends over the years and I hope one day it will happen the same to me too, because okay guys are more careless but I would like to have some girl friends that could understand me better.

I'm pretty worried about where things are headed in society nowadays. This internet-screen addiction isn't going anywhere. And the more time people spend in it, to a large extent, the more they might miss out on potential opportunities to get to know real life people.
But on the other hand, really great people are pretty/very rare. This is a common theme with people I know. Everyone agrees. And it seems to be becoming more of a problem, as this lack of face-to-face interaction is just magnifying many of the bad traits of humans (like being superficial, vain, gossipy, etc.)
Girls have always been challenging in that they have an indirect communication style, mostly avoiding direct conflict, yet they also have many opinions about people, on a social level. So they can be terrible gossipers.
I never experienced a lot of competitive attitudes from them, except in every work environment. But I see it differently now. I do think females who aren't friends don't support each other enough. Actually, guys don't support each other much either. But girls are supposed to be the more sensitive and compassionate. They want it for themselves, but aren't so willing to give it to others? Maybe competition is just a huge part of culture, and it always will be. It just manifests slightly different, depending on whether male or female. It's a bit more underhanded, less direct, than the male displays which are very overt or silent.
Anyway, it's tough. All I can say is good luck. Treat them as you want them to treat you. And when they don't, bye bye, I guess.

You are right. I have someone so important for me but she sees me as a rival. That makes me sad. But, I know it's just a phase. As long as I can be respectful to her I know she will find herself.

Most women's insecurity comes from persons they have around. There is always a should for a woman. What you should wear, when you should marry etc. That makes a wound in a woman's body. We are sensitive creatures after all. I have a woman friend. His boyfriend told her she has the ugliest feet. After this, she cried a lot. Now she always wears close shoes. Jealous of good feet now.

If you want woman friends you should understand what they do is not personal. Don't be offended by their act for a while. It has a background. Give them time and try to understand them.

I try to make them comfortable around me. They starting to be more open and fresh. I strongly recommend, be open and forgive towards them. Not all, but some of them turn well after one or two months later. They smile, share and create time to see you. And that's I can tell the amazing sense of friendship. You should try,

Those are such nice words and yes for the "shoulds" that us woman have to go through unfortunately you are right, society put us in a constant competition. I always try anyway to be patient with people and try to not get thibgs personal but I am someone that overthink a lot so sometimes it's difficult for me to let things go... but I will try and work on myself!

Both genders definitely have their pros and cons, and I wouldn’t say that one is better than the other. However I do understand what you’re trying to say, cause I myself had a hard time making girlfriends when I was younger but now I know that’s it’s more about finding the “right friends” than the “right gender” to befriend.


Also there’s a ton of shit girls could relate to a lot more than guys lmao, cause sometimes when I’m talking or complaining about something, the girls GET IT. The guys don’t, they’re just like “what’s the big deal...”😂

Take female tomboys they like doing guy stuff right. So they would bond better with a guy

Now take a guy thats kind of emotional, in tune with his feelings, and likes some girly things. They would bond better with girls
