As a parent, do you feel your child should always feel comfortable enough to come to you and ask for anything even if they’re grown?

YES! It is how I hope my children will always feel towards me. I always tell my children I have an open door policy. They can always come to me no matter the issue even if they have done something I wouldn't approve of. I rather they tell me themselves than I find out on my own. I made a pack with them that I will hold back my emotions even if its anger or disappointment if they come to me and I will do everything I can to help them.
I feel this way towards my own Father. I am very close with my dad.
I was never very close to my mother but as of lately I am trying to patch things up with her.

I’m not a parent , but I do think a child is a life commitment and a lot of people fail in life due to their parents not giving them the proper guidance and help at a young age. The government system is set up where young people (even over the age of 18) can’t easily establish themselves

I definitely do not feel that way about my parents
