A family walking around in underwear?

My sister and her husband and daughter walk around in underwear. My niece came to my house and was walking around in underwear and it pissed me off because I don’t do that in my household. I had to send her home because she refused to put on pajamas pants. Why would a 12 year old girl want to do this? I blame her parents for setting this example. It’s gross and weird.

Well that was a close one I thought for sure you were going to say it pissed me off so now I'm not walking around with any underwear see how they like it. I like walking around in my underwear too but I mean if somebody comes over I do put a pair of pants on

We aren't that bad but when my husband comes home from work, and not going back out, he puts his sleeps pants on or his boxers. Stay at home mom here, I can easily just walk around naked but I prefere a top and shorts or a tee of my husbands and panties but not a bare bottom.

It is your house but what is the difference between what she was wearing and say a bikini. I can’t walk around all the time in my underwear but if I could I probably would!

Your house - your rules. But as to why your sister and BIL do it, you'll have to ask them. This behavior is not unusual in some European countries.

It's family. They should feel comfortable in their underwear around you. If they weren't that would be more cause for concern. My family is comfortable being nude around the house. There's nothing wrong with either.

It’s in the family it’s not a problem it’s just like wearing shorts. Men’s underwear is very long nowadays. I do it myself. As long you don’t have some weird kind of a incest fetish thing going on I don’t see a problem

It's gross and weird - for you. For them, it's normal. If it really bothers you, talk to the parents and tell them how you feel. BUT - only in your house. Don't dictate what they can do in their house.
