Fathers can be powerful role models for their kids. One of my friends became a carpenter like his father. I used to watch the two of them from my office window walk up the street in their identical carpenters overalls carrying their lunch pails.
My daughter majored in Computer Science like I did and maybe my scientist son inherited his interest in science from me.

Often, yes. Take my sister for example. Her intention is to go to med school. My father is a doctor. So, same. I also work in the healthcare field. Not a doctor but same field.
