Is she my soul sister or best friend?

The person who matters most to me in the world is a female and I'm a male, I love her, but not in a romantic or sexual way, purely platonic. I trust them with my life and I know they trust me with theirs. Can I refer to them as my "soul sister" or just best friend because we are of opposite genders, I'm not sure how it works.
