Why is my boyfriend acting frigid?

He is a good, decent, honest and loyal guy. But he has never dated before and a lot of the time he acts like he is really uncomfortable, uninterested and frigid. He asked me out, and in 2 weeks we been out alone once and to a meal with friends once. In company of friends he basically just ignores me and doesn't make any physical contact with me at all. When we are alone it us awkward, like he doesn't know what to say. He said he really likes me, and he's sorry for seeming uninterested, but then if he is 'really into me' why does it feel like I'm the one doing all the talking, organizing and handwork? Quite frankly he is making me feel insecure because I don't know where I'm standing. Another problem is he doesn't seem to be that bothered about making time for 'us'.

I've got 2 possible ideas-

he's shy, and just kinda awkward as his personality.

it can fix itself over time by him becoming more comfortable with you and himself, or you can make sure that he knows that he is wanted.

depends on how old he is, he might still be immature to use you as a status thing, and doesn't actually have any feelings for you, hence when you're alone with him, he doesn't do anything.

and when he's with his friends, you're just making an appearance with him.

fix- break it off.

sum it up- give it some time to see what's up, then break it off if he's still awkward.

"Acting" frigid? Why you think that he is "acting" ? So do you expect him to jump over you (or any girls) all of a sudden, just because he is a man/boy (male) ? Moreover at the present times if woman can fake their orgasm then definitely a man have the full right to act frigid. There are some guys who respect women (even when some women doesn't deserve that) and maintain barriers. Give him some time so that he feels comfortable with you. Because gentlemen doesn't like to take 'advantage' of any woman unlike the jerks. Make him genuinely feel that even you want to be intimate with him, I guess this would work.
