If a particular person goes out of their way to say "Hi" to you every time they see you, would you assume that they find you attractive?

Question

This person isn't a friend or anything, they're just kind of a familiar face.  Have you ever made this kind of assumption about someone? Or do you assume that people who do this are just friendly?

No. I am a teacher and work with mostly women.

One is very short (4'11") and very obese (not that I'm judging her for that).

One is less short (5'2") and stereotypically cute for a petit woman. I'd say she looks like a 10/10 for guys into Asian/Korean girls, but to me, she's just a tiny young woman.

One is less short (5'4") but short and very fit and athletic, and kinda pretty herself, but clearly in her early 30s and no longer "young" but still acts like the selfie-loving 20 year old she used to be.

One is tallish (5'8") and a stereotypical positive young female teacher (upbeat, perky, a little silly, kinda cute).

And the other two are guys. (Korean Chads, to be honest. One is a husband and "family man" type, and the other is a tall, handsome "funny guy.")

Besides me and the shortest overweight girl, I'd actually say all the teachers at my workplace are generally attractive. Even the 5'4", 30-something year old is still like a 6.5 in looks.

All of them go out of my way to say hello to me. They're generally a positive and nice group of people. (I almost feel guilty working there, because they're all so nice, and I'm not a "nice person." I'm a cynic whenever I'm not teaching.)

I think the people who would assume "Hi" means "I think you're attractive" think of themselves as being attractive. Cause I know I'm not attractive. So I know none of these ladies are secretly thinking "Damn, he's good looking!"

Well let's say they're interested for sure, and likely find you attractive. If someone goes "out of their way", they want you to know it.

My neighbour is like this, but he's always looking for friends because they he and his partner are always pleading poverty and begging for money.
So I go out my way to avoid him.
He's been rude to me quite a lot and snappy when I refuse to help financially.
I appreciate its tough but he could ask several people in one day and it irks me that they will actually give him something.

I NEVER assume a woman is interested unless she asks me out. Sorry women just aren't worth the mental energy to me anymore. Make yourself clear or I'm NOT going to bother.

Maybe they like the same activities you do.
Maybe they just find you attractive. Maybe you remind them of their _________ (fill in the blank with a loved one).
Maybe they are a serial killer and you fit the victim profile they target.

Saying hello is meaningless. People do it without thinking because it is viewed as polite.
