If they are just a friend. Don't be bothered by this, just because they are not texting back, doesn't mean they don't want to be friends with you. They could just be busy doing so many things. As long as they do text back at some point, act like your friend when you two see each other, you two are friends

I don't even always text my best friend, nor does he always text me, and we have been friends for 18 years now. We got our own lives. We both just finished College and starting our careers, He just got engaged and lives with his fiancé who he spends most of his time with. I have a girlfriend that I spend most my time with. We have families to see and talk to. On top of that, we both need are alone times.

Also, has someone who suffers from having anxiety when it comes to my relationships with friends, partners, or whatever. I would say not to over analyze everything to have some meaning behind it. Just because someone doesn't respond in a timely manner to your texts, doesn't mean they don't like you. Just because someone's texts are usually short or just have one word in them, doesn't mean they don't like you.
