How is possible for a girl to grow 8 more inches after age 12?

We used to be childhood playmates and she used to be short as a kid. She liked being called tootie, tinkerbell or little lady. That's how I remembered her as; as a shy, sweet and short girl.

The last time I saw her, we were 12 year-olds. She was just 5 ft and that's one of the many traits I liked about her; baby-face and short height. We just reunited not so long ago. She looked nothing like the way I remembered her. I'm still taller than her (5'11) but not like before. Right before my eyes without high heels, I was staring at a grown 5'8 woman with big hands and large shoes; bigger frame, no longer that baby face and more weight added.

How is that possible? That's 8 inches of difference from the last time I saw her. I kind of miss her old version. She's still cute though but the tootie I knew is gone.

To be honest if FB nor any social medias existed, I wouldn't have recognized her too much. She looks different from how I remembered her. How is that possible? That's 8 inches of difference.

Well the body can keep growing way past puberty up to the age of 15-16 (sometimes higher) so... Yeah totally possible or they had surgery

No surgery at all. She claimed she suddenly starting growing after her 14th b-day and during all her HS years. Needless to say, I missed my tinkerbell. She's cute still but it's like I were staring at a different girl now.

Indeed. If it wasn't for faceook nor any other social medias (since her parents are on fb page too) then I wouldn't have really recognize her. Does this mean she was never genetically short but possibly had a late puberty?

That is quite possible or a slow one where the body's changes are very slow

Most people grow after their 12th birthday it’s very normal😭
