I was actually pregnant 4 times, all by the same man, but only two of the pregnancies resulted in children, so I have two daughters. Because my pregnancies were high risk, after my second daughter was born, I got a tubal ligation.. Always thought it would of been nice to have a son as well, but wasn't In the cards I guess. But I got a precious grandson out of it😍😍

Only child here. I think 1 maybe 2 would be okay. I know siblings can entertain each other but I also know that some siblings are just horrid to each other.

With 2 there's usually a favorite child or one that's better behaved and I get that as a parent you're supposed to treat then equally, but in reality many parents dont. With one kid, it's easier to have down time (say they visit a school mate after school) and logistically it's less driving children with different personalities to their different hobbies.

Having more kids doesn't guarantee that any of them will take care of you in your old age or that they won't rebel. I'm happy to pool my resources into 1 kid. There's less inevitable life creep 'because my older sibling got it'.

I am a farmer and paid for my kids without government help. Plus, all my kids are all grown now.
