Some friendship problem, what should I do?

I'll keep it short
I had a best friend in my pre university.
I broke friendship with her because she backstabbed me and i trusted her a lot. (4yrs ago)
Recently her dad died because of cancer. I was kinda traumatized. I called her up and talked to her (for 1st time in 4-5 years) she said "we will meet soon-ish"
She still didn't accept my insta request
I want to talk to her but dunno if i should.

I am also confused if i should move on and forgive her or not. Basically what she did was she defamed me because of which other people didn't used to like me. And she was my bestfriend

I voted for talk... id suggest to forgive (in sense that dont hate her or dislike her anymore) but do not forget... and yes its not must ofcourse but that would be very nice of you if u support her in this sad/tough time in whichever way u want/can... then after some days of initial support, its on u if u

1. keep talking to her as friends or

2. move on if u feel like that is better for you or

3. just do a few texts time by time not more

But the third one can be stressful n awkward

It’s sweet of you to want to communicate solidarity, it says much about your character. Be sure you don’t place yourself in a situation where the same person can take advantage and hurt you again. If they don’t return your sentiment of reacquainting and seem like they’ve grown as individuals don’t allow for you both to get into an uneasy and strained situation.(:

Well if she’s not making any effort to apologize to you then you should just move on from the friendship. It’s very thoughtful of you to still want to be there for her rn when she’s dealing with a loss, I hope it works out in whatever way you want it to
