my opinion is off the chart high. my wife did it for 13 years. wasn't easy - but worth it - and thankfully we were able to :)
I’m sure that’s very very difficult. I feel like a job would be easier.
That is a job that's so easy we let 13 year old kids stay at home & watch the kids while mom & dad go on a night out.
@Jvanhelsing You do realize that babysitting for a few hours is very different from taking care of kids 24/7 right?
yes and it's not just taking care of the kids when you're a full time stay at home mom.
It is the absolute best home environment for your children.
Keeping the house functioning and taking good care of the kids is hard, I respect stay at home moms.
I am neutral. If she is happy, i am happy for her too. I dont understand why some people brutally judge other people's lifestyles although it does not hurt anyone
If it's affordable and doable, it's the best thing for the kids during their formative years, in my opinion. I think moms are for the most part, saints!
Nothing, you do what's best for you and your family
My wife and I hope to be able to get to that point sometime.
In general in my opinion I think being a mom sucks but I don't care otherwise.
well it takes a lot of work and mother is by far the hardest job one can have so i just have to say i applaud you for it. plus the main change you get to spend time with your own children and not have them be raised by a nanny or babysitter too.
As i have seen with a lot of people i know, the women tend to get lazy/used to it. Not wanting to go back to work/learn new skills etc.
Making the guys work for 4 years without saving much of anything and only getting increased stress.
After multiple kids, when it is time to return, they tend to make low income, because they can't compete anymore.
We either make it guys only work and women only stay at home, like the old days or it won't work financially,. Too many people in the workforce.
I personally have no plans on working since my the time my kids are grown my husband will be retired
And do you think about your husband too, while you retire about 20 years before him?
It does cause a lot of stress on the guy. If anything happens to him or his job, the family would suffer greatly, he has to be more "nice" to his boss.
He doesn't have much money to his own, has to feed you and the kids, cover all expenses, rides, clothes, household work/items etc etc.
That is a lot to put on your mans shoulders. Don't you feel bad that he, the love of your life, has to work with extra stress and less freedom for 20 plus years?
My husband likes working and providing for his family. He is with me cause I choose to stay at home to raise our kids. It's something he likes and doesn't stress about. Also don't stress about money. We both have extremely good money management skills so affording our kids just isn't a issue. And hell no I don't feel bad for my husband working at all. He's working his dream job so he'd be doing this regardless if he was with me or not
It's great to be a stay home mom. It's unpaid job position. But it's a honour to take care of your own kids. If you don't take care of your kids then who will?
Do what makes you happy. I have plenty of respect for SAHMs
As long as it's their choice, I don't care either way.
I love the idea. I have seen it done really well, many timea
If that is what works for you I am all for it. They say a kids early years can really influence the rest of their lives so I like the idea of parents having as much of that influence as possible. Much respect.
İf you have kids to look after you should stay in home...
I agree with that. Kids are better off at home with their mom then at a daycare
You can't trust somebody else to look after them...
It’s great. More women should be doing it. Then when kids get in their teens, you can get your job or whatever.
i think they are much happier and sexier. in better shape. less anxiety. if women knew how great it was they would all want it
It is I tough tough job I can wnt even imagine the amount of patience my wife has , my kid is relentless
They are awesome - if someone is able to stay home and run the place - that's work!
If that’s what they want. I would probably get bored. I need to stay busy.
Best women there are. Only kind id ever have kids with.
Being a mom is a full time job in it if itself mad respect to any women who are full time moms
She has to give up a lot to do it. That's sacrifice.
Kids needs to be raised by a mother while a man helps and brings in the money i see nothing wrong with it. It'd how i'd want my kids to grow up
Nothing wrong with that I think it should be brought back but I’m old fashioned
They are great as long as they take care of the home.
Great. Lots of work, but worth every second. Kids love it
Where would the world be without stay at home moms? My hat is off to every one of you. You rock…
Raising kids is the hardest most important job in the world. Be proud
Most pleasant women I’ve ever met funny and more innovative than other women they have the most common sense and the best food
Stay at home moms who work hard to take care of their children, the home and their husbands are the highest value women in the world.
My mom is one personally though I like to work and I feel like I’d be very sad just staying at home.
i think there's no issue with it. and that other person was a troll.
All natural and I have no problems with it. It's one of a kind these days
Its the tuffest job in world and i totally respect it
If they can afford it, I’m all for stay at home moms.
Is that you in pic Apple?
I was thinking you are a young pretty user.
Definitely not me in the pic
Just something I took from google
I as a girl just dont think moms are cool so my opinion is just minding my own business and not caring.
It is a full time job and more! I respect and admire them as much as working moms.
They should be at home taking care of their child / children.
there isn't anything wrong with a stay at home mom tbh its kinda hot and id be with/ date one
If the husband’s income is sufficient I think it’s a great dynamic.
And if it’s not enough, then folks shouldn’t have kids. Responsibly seems so outdated with all the progressive sh! t we’re forced to listen to everyday
Taking care of the kids all the time is still work.
My mom raised me and 2 brothers while working at home. There is NO JOB more important than mother.
Whoever disagreed with me have bad relationships with their mothers.
If the family can afford it, they are far better off in the long run
I respect them. My mom was a stay at home mom too
Can you explain the stigma you are referring to?
Like that it's lazy to stay home
That is what a lot of people think even tho it's not true
Oh, I don't know anyone who thinks raising kids is lazy. Maybe once they are all school age and you aren't working still, but other than that people just don't know what it takes to be a parent.
I think it's typically a necessity that both parents work in today's society anymore. I'm not against a stay at home mom so to speak as in most cases I just don't thinks it's an option anymore. And I think most women realize that. And those that don't will have a rude awakening.
Why would they have a rude awakening? a lot of couples manage to work it out having one income so the mom can stay home with the kids
I already explained that
They masturbate a lot lol
I doubt all of them do 😂
Maybe. Maybe not. The ones I know do. Masturbate and day time sex hahaha
I guess it depends on how much the father makes and how young the kids are.
Busy beavers 🤗👍
Yes I am a busy beaver 🦫
😎👍
It's a lot of work and dedication.
I only date stay at home moms
I think it be awesome if mom could stay home
I don’t have one. They do what they have to do
they are long-suffering, devoted mothers :(
If you can afford it its great.
Being a mother is a great job!!!
