My parents check my phone, i’m 18 is this still acceptable?

I mean, if they pay the bill, and you live under their roof I would say technically it's acceptable. Im not saying they should because it bothers you and violates trust and privacy. Was there an event that led to them starting to do this or has this been a thing since you've had a phone?

they’re paying the bill and they bought the phone that’s true bc i was a minor back then, now i’m not and i’m studying at college… so an adult shouldn’t check another adult’s phone… and i’m not doing anything bad or ilegal or isk

No. Even as a teenager I don’t think it’s acceptable. Kids and teens are still people who deserve respect and privacy and I don’t think it’s right for parents to think they get the right to snoop and go through their kids things.
Especially since you’re a literal adult, its super wrong of them.

If they bought the phone and they pay the bill then it's their phone and they may do what they want with it.

If it's not their phone then it's unacceptable for them to check it.
