Am I bad for viewing my cousin as a enemy?

I was happy when my cousins husband divorced her because she did not invite me to the wedding and told our 20+ family members to lie to me and pretend there is no wedding and after her mom told her not to invite us, she asked us for a $600 wedding gift when she makes over 10 times more money than us. My other cousin copied her influence and also decided not to invite me to his wedding but his wedding was called off when his girlfriend shared a bad secret with him, we have no idea what it was, but the wedding was called off less than 3 days before it was supposed to happen.

Having not actually known this person, I don’t know how everything led to the situation it is today.

The deep desire of extravagant gifts identifies an underlying problem of something missing in their life that they have been trying to fill, but brings emptiness to the heart.



There is the responsibility to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us


We are to love that person just as we love ourself.


Behind the cause of what makes a person an enemy, it all boils down to sin, sin separates a person from their purpose, decisions and qualities


We are to be set apart and guard our hearts from those who corrupt the purity of the heart, but also are to love them and have an open door to lead them back who wander away.


Family issues can get complex, it can cause division during holidays and important family gatherings and one has to have good discernment on how that decision impacts the future. Pray over when there is a time to be slow to anger, abounding in mercy, setting boundaries that sets them apart from going down the wrong path.


Be ready to welcome back those who come back to the father.
