For those of you with children, how heathy are your relationships with them if you have them?

Do you get along with your adult children? Or are you estranged from them, and why? Care to share?
One of my daughters is mad at me, and for very little reason. My heart is broken.

I have 3 adult kids: one I rarely see or hear from, one that I occasionally hear from, and one that I see and talk with often. None of my kids live near me, closest is 6 hours away, farthest is 17 hours away (driving), which is one of the reasons we don't often get together. Their mother and I had a parental philosophy: the goal of parenting is make yourself unnecessary.., and with my kids, that's happened. Having said that, I'm very proud of them and happy with what they've become.

Sounds good, then. I think I try to do too much for both daughters, and that is where the problem lies. The one that is upset has said I need to know my boundaries.

I have pretty decent relationships with my three children, I have a little bit of a strained relationship with the youngest. Whichever child of yours is upset with you, they will come around. May take a little time but they usually do

I pray you are right. I think there may be something emotionally wrong with her. I see a counselor because of it. We were estranged, then Christmas came and I cared for her cat while she was away, and now she’s mad again.

So in other words she just used you for your services. Next time tell her to get somebody else to watch your damn cat. If you're going to treat me like shit after I do you a favor then I don't want to do you a favor

She is upset because I ordered a transcript for her from her college so that she has it to give to another school. She wanted to continue her education, and because she isn’t working now, I did that to help her. She says I was using her personal info to get it, and that’s why she’s upset.

I get along with all 9 of them. But I tend to butt heads with my youngest son. We are to much a like in personality

It’s my youngest who is upset with me, too. It’s very upsetting to me.

Every once in while. He trys to fight me. But he quits after I hit back.

He is 23 going on 5 sometimes
