Why is my best friend in competition with me :(?

My friend competes with me for almost anything we both do. Art, dance, who gets male attention, who’s better looking etc. she always has something to say or points out that she’s “better” than me at those things or that I’m not that great. Why is she so competitive? Can’t we both win?

Also with grades and our studies. She always asks me what I got on my tests compared to hers and gloats if she gets better than me
