My mother went down a bad path of embittered angry Ms. Andrus bigotry known as third wave feminism when I was very young. She expressed anger that she had sons instead of daughters and resented us our entire lives. After she divorced my father because one of her lawyer friends convinced her that she’d get more money that way, she realized in a hurry that age contemporary men in their late 20s don’t want a woman who is already dragging to of another man’s bottomless resource pits behind her and has demonstrated legally that she does not honor her commitment for value men as anything other than providers of resources which she can then betray at well. Because she was unable to find another man willing to fall for her tricks, the resentment and anger on the grill. Later in my adult years, she refuses to have a relationship with my wife but still demand grandkid access. The toxic narcissism and victim bullying mentality makes her difficult to be around even had a good day and I can’t change the way I was born so I don’t think we’re ever going to get along. I understand women are raised to judge men by their relationships with their mothers, but not all mothers are perfect, or even good. Having such a one-sidedDouble standard by which to evaluate the quality of men is not a reasonable idea or fair to the people in question who can’t choose their parents.

Both of my parents have passed away, but I still cherish and use what each of them had taught me when they were alive - workshop (dad), art (dad), sewing (both), music (mom), cooking (mom), determination, creativity, honesty, respect for my country and our first responders (both).

The only reason I was born was because mom was too busy getting high, drunk and hooking up with random guys to get her shit together to abort me. And she spent everything on drugs and booze, so I guess I can thank that habit for something.

our mother daughter moments were only when she was trying to convince me to give her money, when she wanted me to make nice with her boyfriends who either beat, touched me or both so he wouldn’t break up with her. I moved out as soon as I could and tried making up later. Biggest mistake of my life. It never changes and the past is best left in the past

My mom passed but the last time we spoke was on November 9, 2003
I called to talk to her on November 10, 2003, and her roommate said she
had a bad morning she passed away at 10:30 a. m. found by the physical
therapist but why when the nurses knew she was critical with low blood sugar
did they just let her alone with no one, I will tell you these nursing homes
need ran better and as soon as I wanted to file a complaint against them
they got all up in arms with me, her roommate had Parkinson's but was alert
all she told me is honey your mother is trying to reach through the curtain
all I can say is these nursing homes need better ran. It took long for me to
get word at 1:30 she passed away all them hours

The other reason I don't call my mother and the reason why I didn't call her very often before she died was because I didn't like her I still don't

I talked to her on Monday. I will talk to her once a week (on average) because of our schedules. She says she wants to hear what I have to say, and when I do, she can't handle it or dismisses it.

I love her, it's just odd (I think). I would like to have a better relationship with her (both my parents actually). I just don't see that happening.

I spoke with my mother last night, face to face. I see her every month or so. We don't talk much, we never really had much to say to each other, though we do get along well enough. My wife can't stand her though, which makes things difficult.
