Who do you call first when you need help moving out of your place?

I actually don't call anyone at all. I do everything on my own. It's just this one time a guy friend who I used to hangout with very often and he was really attached to me found out that I'm moving on what day and at what time. He offered me help. I said no. He insisted. I kept saying no. Yet he showed up and helped me move. Since then I don't tell anyone my address as I do not want to take help.

I've hired professionals most of the time, there are times where I've had family and friends help but that always seems more difficult to coordinate and depending on how far a way I'm moving too.

I'd not ask - but expect - those who live with me (and I with them) to participate in this effort.
Provided, that they/she will move as well.
Personally, I'm fed up with 'moving' - I needed to do it a few times too often :)

I've been lucky that moving companies have always moved me besides the first time when I moved/got kicked out of my parents house. I literally broke into the house while they were gone. My husband and brother helped me move all my stuff. No boxes just piling it all into the car. It was a little crazy but worth it to get my stuff.

I just finished helping my friend move out Monday, lol.
I usually just call one or two people I'm close to. My bff over here is moving next week so I'm actually considering extending my lease so i don't have to deal with the BS and trouble of moving with no car 😅
Voted E though.. if I do move I have two coworkers I'd ask to help me out.

I call my papi first he's my number one the man who's always been there my entire life the one man I can most rely on we have a close relationship we're always helping each other's out
After him would come my brothers
If neither of them can help then I just have to pay someone
My partner is physically unable to help me with such things

I have a pretty big family... when it comes to big items, we just get the professionals.
We did ask my brother, his two older boys (20, 18) so that they can do some work and see my house. :P

My now second husband got some big guys to move all his stuff into the uhaul... he drove all the way to the east coast.

Movers, cause family or friends may help but they won't have the same care and stuff gets broken.

Plus I used to have a sticker on my truck that said... yes this is my truck, no I will not help you move.

I said mix out of family and friend and that would be what I would do, but to be honest with my last moving only my family and family friends helped at the beginning and I did the most on my own

Family, specifically one with a truck. If that’s not possible, I’d rent U-haul, I suppose and call some friends.
