Even if you turn it during the pandemic time where people could not get out and mingle with either family or friends. Or it it was pre pandemic Did you still h ave a big celebration or not?
What was your case?
I have friends or relatives who turn 50 (before pandemic) and they made a big celebration and post photos on social media. And I also have friends who during pandemic turn 50 that even though they did not organized a big celebration, still their respective family or friends organized something small just among a few people ( to avoid big crowds) and post photos on social media to let people know they turn 50.
Mine was unnoticed by friends or family members, cause I turn 50 during pandemic and I could not organize or plan anything big so I did not even bother to organize anything and tell people that I turn 50. Over a text or a phone call was the only congratulations I got from the people I know.
Sometimes I feel a bit jealous of the friends i have that could celebrate their 50 with a celebration with friends or family and they post theri parties on social media. The only thing taht I did for my 50 (this was last year) was going to my sister and her husband house with mom and brother and she had a small cake at her house, but that was it. I could not let other people know to gather cause it was during pandemic and family or friends did not want to expose themselves and gather as they were taking care of themselves during pandemic when the cases were at his highest (this was last year that I turn 50).
A cousin of mine who she has a big party when she turn 50, three years ago, told me that since for my 50 nothing was done we could do it this year when I turn 51. But hey it is not the same anyway, my 50`s were last year in April, not this year. But this year I already turn 51 one week ago, and again nothing was done like a big party as it fall during Easter week when people in my country were on vacation time and I was at my aunts house near the beach

in those Easter days but not every relative I have was spending those vacation days with the the rest of the realtives at my aunts house who is located 8 years from the main capital, al the family was in different places not near from each other, so impossible to organize something one more time (even if many pandemic restrictions were lifted and people could gather and see each other again and organize social events again).

my mom, 3 senior aunts and I blow up a cake, that was it. Not that Im not grateful for that, but I would had maybe dream of something more of a gathering with more relatives, with balloons and invite friends over. But not even this year that I turn 51. My female friends do not even arrange to go out with me like one night for drinks for my bday, any of that happened last year or this year
