If bros before hoes is applied among us, why none of my friends cover up for me?

This applies among us but none of my close friends sided with me when I cheated on my girlfriend of 3 years. None of them wanted to cover up for me.

One wanted me to confess and others simply said they wouldn't support me in the cheating nor lie to her if she ask. I ended up confessing and obviously she dumped me. Supposedly we have each other's back, we support each other but suddenly none took my side on that.

Ironically some of them don't mind sleeping around when single. They got no issues with that. So why wouldn't they cover up for me?

I could understand if it was a female friend... she would obviously tell the girl. They support their own kind but my male friends didn't supported me in covering up for me. My own kind didn't sided with me on that one.

I wouldn't cover for you because I don't want to be put in the middle of your relationship issues. Last thing I'd want is your girlfriend mad at me because I covered for you. So I'd flat out tell you that you made the bed and I'm sure as hell not going to lay in it with you. You cheated and any consequences of your actions are yours to bare alone. If you didn't like what I said or got angry at me for not being willing to cover your backside, I'd cut you off right then and there. Because I'm not going to be friends with someone that does stupid crap and expects their friend to bail them out of the situation they put themselves in.

I asked them what's the difference if some of them sleep around with many women but they told me it was different because at least they are single, do not have a girlfriend and are honest with the women about not wanting anything serious. They all came to the conclusion that once it involves hurting someone's feeling, lying about wanting a future with a girl and wasting her time, or destroying lives (ex: having an affair with a married woman and destroying a marriage), they won't support the man on that and they don't view that guy as alpha either but a loser.

Another thing to think about is that if they where to cover for you, they would be signing off on your behavior. So if word got out it would create a situation where they are pretty much guilty by association. So they would be dragged through the dirt right beside you. That's why in general people need to keep in mind that the company you keep does reflect on you. So if a friend of yours starts doing some stupid crap, it's best to keep your distance. Because you don't want their stupid decisions to negatively reflect on you.

I wouldn't support any of my friends in cheating either, I don't support my friends in being shitty people, I hold them accountable if they ever were to do something like that - cause that's what friends do

There’s a big difference between sleeping around while single and sleeping around while in a relationship.

This is what they told me too. I was kind of jealous that they could get many girls and well the girl I cheated with was just my 2nd. I thought they would say something like ''You cheated but you still scored bro'' (something like that). Instead they were disappointed.
They have some type of code: if you score girls while single and aren't lying to girls, you're the man
If you cheat on a girlfriend or wife, sleep with a man's woman or lie to a girlfriend about wanting kids and waste her years... they consider that man a loser.
I took their advice (well I was worried they would tell her too) and confessed but she still dumped me.
