My family forced me to send a thank you message on facebook? Is this normal?

I just graduated and my family wants me to post me a pic of me graduating and posting a long speech thankinv them for helping me to study in college. Like being grateful that I should mention them I refused. :/ cuz I dont use social media. Am I the asshole?

No not at all. Social media is bad in general the less we are on it the better it is for our mental health. No one needs to know or care about what we accomplish in life. I own a home, I paid of my car, I have good credit. I don't need to be putting every single detail of my life to get validation from people who don't even matter or are even there for me. You are not an asshole and people just can consume in social media it's sad to see that people can't go one single day without posting something
