How to stop my nephews going through my things?

My nephews come up often and they tend to go through everything and anything. They are 6 and 8 years old. I just came home once, and was in my room, taking shoes off, and they just walk in and the eldest went straight for my gaming console. So I gently took it away and suggested we should go and join the family outside.

They visited yesterday and I briefly left the house and when I came back, they went into my room when I was gone. They went through my things, moving things and also used my gaming console. I’m not happy with it as my sister doesn’t watch them when she’s here. And they’ve broken things in the house before. I told my parents and they just made excuses for it. They went through my personal belongings too. How do I stop them? Am I valid for being annoyed about it? I’m annoyed at my family for not watching them

You could rig a small explosive. You know, not something that'd blow off the whole hand. Just a finger or two. I guarantee they don't go through your stuff again. Maybe not even go back in your house.

Lock your door. You are an adult. If it doesn't lock, then change the doorknob for one that does.

I know. I can’t even get a door lock because my room is linked to another room. I know if they break something they will blame me somehow 🙃
