My parents put education above everything, even my happiness, they are too strict and don't respect my feelings?

Hello,
I am 22 years old and I live in Europe but I am originally from Turkey. I was born in Europe as well but having a turkish family I got a very strict education. It's good but bad at the same time. In our culture, most of the parents seem to be putting education above the happiness. We need to be, doctors, pharmacists, engineers, lawyers, or else we will be considered useless or people will see us "down". I don't care about what others think but my parents do. I chose medicine in college and it kills me inside when they say "it's ok some people do it easily because they are super intelligent and you will do it with a lot of hard work and if u didn't then what can we do" they really say it in a tone if I fail it I will be useless I will be in the same place as the person who haven't done a thing in his/her life. I called my mother many times to cry and explain her how I feel but as soon as I saw the way she talked I holded back my tears and ended the call eith smile
They really do not know how much efforts I give and what I go through. I struggle a lot. And because of their thinking I feel myself obliged to study I feel like I am living according to others and I am not enjoying my life. And that is the reason also I am failing in a lot of subjects... I am tired of putting education above everything...
My parents put education above everything, even my happiness, they are too strict and don't respect my feelings?
