Is it wrong to ask my parents if I can stay at my grandparents and not go camping?

We usually go camping a few times during the summer but there is one coming up for boy scouts for my brother, I never really liked going because it's kinda awkward with all 13-year-old boys. Would I be wrong to ask If I could stay with my grandparents and not go?

It's not wrong to ask if you'll be uncomfortable there. Just explain to them why.
