Embarrassment is a POWERFUL tool. Think about it. The mass of the population will never do even the slightest thing if they fear it will embarrass them. So if a wayward child knows the course of action will lead to embarrassment I do think it will make him stop and think.
We had to kiss each other if we fought. If we fought again we had to kiss each other in front of school or the neighbors. NO $%T (@#*%$(@#*% WAY did we fight.
I don’t know if I would call that abuse but it’s certainly fucked up for sure. I worry about the parents who get a kick out of embarrassing their child. Especially in public or in front of friends and family.
I don't think it is not good to embarrass your child. You need to learn somehting with the punishment, otherwise it becomes useless. In that case, he probably learned nudity is a bad thing, which he shoudn't have learned in my opinion
You're so right!
You asked this several weeks ago, no? I would still say that would legally be abuse, depending where you are.

I remember reading (on exhibitionistpost, which sadly does not exist anymore) about a guy who, when he was about nine or ten years old, was punished by his mother by being forced to stand naked in a corner. No big deal so far, except that his mom had some of her lady friends over during his punishment, and one of them looked right at his penis, and asked, "does it always stick out like that?" (He didn't say what he had been punished for.)
I remember reading on the old Mr. Poll website about a woman who, whenever she took her son to the beach, she always had him go naked on the beach. She claimed that this was NOT a non-nude beach. I gather that she was a single mom, because she never mentioned a husband, nor did she ever mention any other kids. She claimed that she had him going to the beach nude until he was at least 15! (May have gone even later than that, but she eventually stopped posting there.) She didn't say anything about this being "punishment" for her son, only that she believed that he had "no need of modesty." But by her own admission, she said that girls and their moms were checking out her son at the beach. She said that some asked her why he was naked, but she also claimed that she never got any complaints from anyone about his nudity. (I would have loved to read her son's version of these events, but he evidently never posted there.)
Correction: "not a nude beach."
can you dm me?
i follow you
Trying to follow you, as well. Not seeing a link.
What did your brother learn from this punishment? This is cruel punishment in my opinion. All he learned was that it's shameful to be naked. It didn't teach him right from wrong.
He needed to learn to be more careful and respectful to avoid being in that embarrassing position
And doing that is teaching him to be more respectful? He learned nothing but shame. That was all. If you were in his shoes would you be fine with that punishment with him laughing at you? I doubt it.
He learned something not to be in that position again. I would never want to be in his shoes. I couldn't bear to be humiliated like that.
But it was OK for him?
Yes. Why?
What if you received the same punishment? And he laughed at you? And you were embarrassed and ashamed 😔
Why i receive the punishment? he deserved it. he was the one who needed to learn something, not me. I think everyone in the house was in their rightful place. my mom and me just deserved laugh.
You mean to tell me you never did anything wrong for you to be punished?
Sure
I grew up nudist so this would be like a joke. I was typically given more chores and no pool time. What it is teaching him is nudity and his body is bad. He will have problems from it! Especially if it was done in his teens.
Not by parents but once i got stripped naked in my village by some people when i was caught spying on girls taking a bath in the river.
I was paraded naked in the entire village. Had my hands tied behind my back and Canned while walking.
At the end of the walk i was tied by my wrists on a tree in the centre of the village so i was on my tiptoes for about 3 4 hours.
That’s fucked up Jesus
That’s craziness. I prefer a belt be applied but standing in a corner, whatever…that’s like SURE. I’m sure he will have his I phone for piss 🚽 breaks.
That's how a wife should be punished for adultery. And some Stones.
Mentally yes. Every laugh at him in that position will have an impact like a stone.
Yeah it will
No, it’s ok in my view as long it doesn’t extend to bodily harm, spare the rod and loose your child.
How old were you and your brother when this happened?
I was 15, he was 10
There is no age at which such punishment would be appropriate but it is even more inappropriate to make him stand naked in front of his teen sister.
I know it but this why this punishment is more effective. My mom especially used to say to me ‘laugh at him’ to feel him more ashamed.
That's so wrong! It was bad enough that he was embarrassed in front of you, he was made to feel ashamed as well. I think it's abusive 😕
@Mynameisbobby It's not enough just to stay that way. He should have realized that he was in a position to be ashamed of.
Your Mother should have realized what she was doing was wrong!!
@Mynameisbobby firstly he should learn respect to me and mom
No that's where you are wrong! Why should he respect you or your mother when you are clearly disrespecting him? Respect is earned. Just because you are older than him doesn't mean he should respect you. I don't know what your brother did but I'm sure whatever it was he didn't deserve that punishment. What could a 10 year old boy do to deserve to be humiliated like that? Nothing!! You think that just because you are a female that it gives you the right to humiliate him like that! Like I said before you would have thought twice about doing that to him if you were punished like that.
@Mynameisbobby Why are you trying to protect him? If a boy says 'whore' to his older sister, he deserves to be humiliated like a whore. I don't care how humiliated he is. First he had to learn to respect females.
I don't think kids learn respect by being disrespected, especially in a pervy weird sex way. Seems that you enjoyed the experience and want to justify it instead of admitting that maybe you got off on seeing your brother naked.
Should parents be bound by the 8th Amendment: No cruel or unusual punishment?
Your mother use to live in Russia, China or North Korea?
Ukraine just for two years
Why?
Do you think this punishment is cruel?
That’s pretty wrong, embarrassing and shaming him is not actually teaching him anything
I don't see anything wrong with it that's how I used to get punished and it worked Very embarrassing
Wow. So fucking wrong
My mom used to make me walk barefoot as punishment but this is another level...
This is how serial killers are made. Go mom.
No. That's consequences u all need to learn.
No it’s so unnecessary to do stuff like that, you can get just as far as just simply taking there phone away or something on that line, god some of you people are crazy
