Do you see daddy issues as a serious problem?

My mom can tell by a look someone who grew up without a father figure. Is it something that seriously impacts a kid's upbringing and affects their whole life to you?

I'm not asking how it impacts girls only. Tbh this question is about my cousin's 2weeks old baby boy who will grow up with his biological father in prison. This "father" cheated on his wife with which he has 3 kids, he proceeded to impregnate one of his side chicks and not recognize the baby and has now also impregnated my cousin with promess of a wedding and to stick by the kid's side to end up cheating on her too and getting himself in jail for other reasons.
I'm worried for that baby boy...

Nah. It's just something people say to shame a girl who may not act conservative which I gather your mom is like.
Growing up without a father effects everyone differently some have issues, some don't.
Sexual abuse is mostly the thing that ends up making a girl have something like dpd which can cause real issues in a relationship. But again it could also not do so. Everyone is subjective.

Some get abandonment issues some don't. Some do but lightly. If one is always juding girls though for been a bit more sexually open by saying they have daddy issues they are just doing what I said at the top.

That depends. If it's not long term it's not a problem. In fact a woman with daddy in the short term can be a benefit. But long term like if you intend on marrying a women the yeah, you don't marry women with daddy issues.
