I think it really depends on the woman I would think. I would assume sometimes older men are just interesting or attractive to an individual woman. I wasn't attracted to older men when I was young but going into my late 40s I started seeing how interesting some men were well into their old age especially if they were very open people. If they do have daddy issues it is better just to deal with it then get it in the romantic realm.

All people are affected by their opposite gender parent when it comes to attracting partners.
Usually we attract people who'll make us feel the same way our opposite gender parent did while we were growing up so wether one attracts healthy partners or not is entirely dependent on that, unfortunately. It all works subconciously. So women who had a distant father will often attract emotionally unavailable men, age doesn't really matter that's just a personal preference - daddy issues or not. That's why everyone can't rely on their "type" when dating, sometimes it's better to try and date those you don't feel the most drawn to. It's a very complicated subject.

Those who you are most definitely drawn to for many great reasons are your mentors instead of your significant other.
Learn to be the same to someone else hypothetically alittle underneath you so to speak , and you might have found a great match for yourself.

I've always preferred older men. And yes my dad was always around & he's a great guy. Both parents are supportive, etc.

It's not a daddy issue.
The reason for me is I am quite mature for my age. Always have been. I find a lot (not all but a lot) of guys my age, if I am to use friends / family's boyfriends & what not for reference, to be in ways too immature for me. To be blunt the average one doesn't interest me.

In my case, it's simple shallowness. Mostly cases of lust with one case of love thrown in. My wife is 18 years younger than me. She had the "daddy issues" which I've helped her resolve. Since she developed a relationship with her dad and hasn't left me yet, I'm wondering about other experiences.
