Is it a good idea connecting a friend to someone you went on a few dates with but decided to be friends with as potential new flatmates?

To explain further, friend A is looking for a new place to live. Friend B is looking for a new flatmate to rent out her spare room to. I originally know friend b as I went on a few dates with her but decided we were better off as friends and I’ve seen her a couple of times since then as friends. It it a good or bad idea connecting friend A and B as potential new flatmates?

You would be introducing them. Friend B would still be making the end decision. Unless you've seriously miss judged how compatible friend A and B are, I can't see how it could be a bad idea

Do you also live there? Would you end up seeing her more? Do you not talk every now and then anyway?

I don’t live there. I live somewhere else. I do see her now and then but I was trying to distance myself from her completely.

I do think it's healthier to try and face the fact that you like someone and move on from those feelings as opposed to having them disappear and hide those feelings, because if they ever come back into your life, it will bring those problems back.

That's a separate issue however. For now, just judge. You are trying to balance 1) doing a nice thing helping two friends out. 2) looking after your own feelings. If it's a really helpful thing to do and only has a minor impact on your feelings, do it. If it's neither here nor there for them, but will really hurt you, don't do it.
