When I was younger, I had a lot of trouble with my mental health. One time I wound up on a balcony, having a breakdown. My aunt proceeded to climb out even while I begged her to leave me alone, forcing a hug on me and telling me that suicide is selfish and to stop being silly.


Honestly after that experience I had a very 1970s view on mental illness: negative and apathetic. It took me a bit to realise that we'd handled it the wrong way and saying those things to someone could be potentially damaging. Right now I'm trying to be more understanding instead of pushing it all away. I've been a real wanker because of that.

My sister would treat me really mean beating me up everyday for no reason and it wasn't playing she would slap my face punch me in the stomach. She's 5 years older than me. For me not much. My grandpa annoyed me once because he doesn't understand how much things have changed jobwise. I was working 18 hours a day to support my mother and sister. When covid hit he kept harassing me about not working. I still had the job but when the whole world shuts down there isn't much you can do. He kept saying to find a place that's open walk in and see the manager. I kept telling him that's not how it works anymore they just tell you to go online. So he then starts calling me lazy and saying I don't care about them. That's the worst thing and really it's not that bad. He had a masters in Physics and two other things and was in the air force. That and with how everything has changed so much I understand why he doesn't get it.
