Ex 1: My mother hated my 1st boyfriend till the very end. She was right the whole time.
Ex 2: My cousin's MIL kicked him out of the house. My grandma and other relatives thought he had reconciled with the lady and that he won her over. Nope. He never won her over. She hates him (he isn't a very good person) and was only trying to get along for the sake of her upcoming grandson.
I've heard of this several times too. Once you get on the bad side of a man's or woman's mother and/or she talks garbage about you to others, that's it. She already made her judgement and unless you saved her own life or she saw you saving her child's life, she'll never really like you. If she apologizes or suddenly reconciles with you is usually only for the sake of her child or upcoming grandchildren, not because she really means it.
Why is it that once a mother hates the child's partner, she's unlikely to change her mind?
There is no ''My partner's mother hated me but now she really loves me'' fictitious stories. Rarely. Usually she either likes you and you're welcome or she doesn't and you'll never be good enough.
