This daughter not only has financially supported her parents but she works for her own stuff and never has leached off of them. This daughter stays in her own lane.

this will be a super complex thing to understand and even more complicated to resolve. Likely that the daughters actions will never be sufficient to appease the mother and possible that the original issue stems from either a resentment of some kind or has arisen as a result of poor bonding at that very early stage.

strangely, this kind of issue is much more common in a mother-daughter context. I would certainly advise the daughter to seek professional advice on how to deal with this, whether that be addressing the issue and dealing with the potential fall-out from it or learning to come to peace with it in one of several directions. to leave it unattended will most likely stifle her chances of achieving any kind of meaningful inner peace and even more likely, linger with her for the span of her life.
