My roommate physically assaulted me, what do I do?

So I met this girl at a previous job I had and we became friends, I was in a bad living situation with my family and she was just ready to move out, so we started looking and eventually found a place. Everyone including my dad warned me living with friends can turn bad. I always had that thought in the back of my mind but I had to move out of my current household and really had no choice. I thought maybe it would be ok since we just started being friends but weren’t super close. We’ve been here since march the apartment she found, we move in and there’s tons of issues regarding the condition of the apartment and random fees adding on per month so we’ve been dealing with issues regarding the apartment for months but that’s a whole other problem and reason to move out. We’ve had some arguments but nothing crazy. The other night, I call her asking if she would be ok with a few friends of mine coming over for a couple hours which she replied saying that’s fine; she also had a friend over. Keep in mind, her and I have had issues recently due to her not paying me her half of bills and such and I’ve tried to be patient but the money never comes. Everything was fine at first that night and suddenly she just storms out of her room randomly and starts screaming at everyone getting all up in everyone’s face telling them to get the f out of “her house” and I think she was either drunk or on some serious drugs, she looked possessed and was screaming in everyone’s face as if she was being tortured. It was honestly scary the condition she was in. She was acting like someone who just escaped a psych ward honestly. I tried to calm her down and asked her to speak to me privately in a room and she refused and continues this psychotic behavior. She then starts aggressively pushing my friends out locks them out and pins me to the floor starts punching and hitting me with her friend. I hit and punched them back in self defense and I have bruises all over my neck and arms. What do I do?

First of all your friends should have stayed and made sure you where ok and not leave you in the hands of your incoherent roommate. I would involve the authorities a file a complaint for assault and if you can't kick her out, leave as soon as possible, I assume you don't know much about her? She could be a dangerous person; crazy or not!

Well my friends never left willingly, she started getting up in their faces literally screaming like she was being murdered, she was acting insane and she then pushed everyone aggressively out and just locked the door on them. Then as soon as she locked the door; she charged at me like some animal and that’s when the physical altercation came about. She started punching and hitting me while pinning me to the floor. My friends were banging on the door yelling let us in so they tried their best but my roommate flewwlt had an agenda to lock them out and double team me with her friend. The whole situation is just so messed up but my friends did try; she knew I’d they were in the house and she touched me it would’ve been bad for her that is why she locked them out

One of my friends was about to fight her for the way she was acting towards me and I stepped in between, and this girl was way bigger than any of us she could easily kill someone with a slap but despite my roommates behavior I still stepped in the middle and said no don’t touch my roommate nobody is gonna fight and then maybe 2 minutes later she pushes everyone out locks them out and tries to beat me down even after I just defended her despite how she was acting lol like

Oh she probably does, she has always been an oversharer she claims she was a drug dealer, she cries on my expensive ass couch with her broke ass whore friends saying she doesn’t understand why she has chlamydia for the 5th time like bitch maybe use a condom or do something about that. I could bring friends she just met in and she instantly talks about her vag. She literally so weird in the head and also has contributed no furniture to this place and will ask me for shit. Like oh can you go get this or order this…like bitch every piece of furniture in this apartment is mine how dare you sit here and try to act like I need to furnish the whole place myself she’s nuts in the head I don't know.

@ArtemisSilver update to all: she started banging on the door last night at like 2am, I saw her location bc we had each other’s on since we moved in for safety reasons and it said she was here so I locked the chain thing on the door but apparently she wasn’t home? So I let her in and said sorry thought you were home. We hadn’t spoken since the incident. I then said would you like to talk like adults and so we sat on the couch and she starts yelling it’s like I couldn’t even get a word out. She starts gaslighting and trying to manipulate me by saying my friends and I were all “plastered” lol we all had one beer at a local bar there wasn’t even alcohol in the house we had none. She then continues to say my bestfriend and I hit her first and that I hit her friend first, then proceeded to lie again and say her friend tried to “break up” the situation; like no your friend smacked me in the face while my roommate was pinning me down on the floo that is not breaking sh*t up lol, so that is obviously is not true. I think she was trying to either make up her own story out of her own mentally ill brain or she was trying to manipulate me into second guessing my memory like a psychopath

So nothing really got resolved and I basically told her she owes me lots of money and I want it by tomorrow and it got ugly after that; she works like 2 days a week yet can go out to restaurants and bars and spend money on stuff but whenever I ask for my money for bills I’m the Ahole. So I basically told her if you’re broke to do some guys on the street I don't know find a way because I’m no longer being patient especially after laying ur hands on me when you had no reason or right to

You should write down all of the shared expenses and how much you have paid and how much she has paid. Then go to small claims court and sue her for how much she has been short. Even better if you are in Judge Judy's jurisdiction.

Thankyou so much for this! That’s that I’m planning on doing. Her dad is the co-signer of this apartment unfortunately. She’s a little bit younger than me and I told her I was not about to put my credit on the line but her dad did. So I simply told her if she isn’t going to pay me; I have no choice but to contact her father since he is on the lease. So I said my dad or I would contact him about what’s going on. Also for the fact that his daughter physically attacked me. If I just up and leave, his credit is affected so I feel as though he should know what’s going on. I’m sure he will believe whatever his daughter says and I don’t care about that I know the truth but I just wanna tell him your daughter took it to a physical level with me, I need out of the lease but she also owes me a lot of money. And I told her this and she laughed in my face started yelling again and called me a p*ssy saying I’m immature for getting family involved in this and calling her dad is childish and to “act my age” lol

Basically I want out of the lease and I am 23, she’s 19, I have no desire to fight with her about this she is always on drugs or doing some wild shit she is irresponsible she clearly can’t handle living in her own. Her living habits alone are conferencing. It’s truly sad her dad is the co signer but that’s her dad even if she’s wrong he will probably defend her but I need him to know what is going on bc I truly feel bad if this man’s credit gets affected by his own daughter being a nut job. I would gladly pay him what I owe but I just can’t continue the lease any longer. The electricity and Wi-Fi everything she can’t pay me is in my name so if I were to leave this place would be completely shut off. So I don't know how she expects to live but she wants to call me immature for contacting her father even though he’s on the lease lol
