I want a quick advice here?

So I have two best friends from different places, one from school and one from college. Let’s call them A and B. So earlier B got cheated on and A was the one because of whom we all got to know. Now it’s been 2-3 months since but B still gets triggered from certain things because she hasn’t fully moved on and which is fair. I understand that. But we’re having a party tonight and B doesn’t want me to invite A because she might get triggered or something. I completely understand, but then I cannot just not invite my other best friend.
It’s a party with my college friends, whom A doesn’t know well, but we’re also inviting 3-4 people outside our college.

So now I’m lost here. I don’t know what to do. B is right in her place but then I can’t lie to A. Plus, I can’t tell A this situation cos I don’t want any hard feelings between them both.

So, what should I do? I know this is very petty but I still can’t seem to get a solution so help me out thanks😂

So I'm not sure I understand the situation fully lol, but A has a problem with B is the bottom line right? So you have to look at this unselfishly, meaning first realize you might not get what YOU want. What I suggest is invite both of them, but also letting them know both of them will be there (that they're both invited). Their both friends of yours, so whatever issue they have is between them, not you. So they have a choice from that point (and you don't have to tell them this part, it should come naturally to them), they either act like "adults" and go to their friends party (putting aside their differences for you - which hopefully will be the case), but if they can't do that, then it's on them and you just have to accept whatever happens. But that's my advice and what I'd do. Invite both, let them know they're both invited as your friends, and it's up to them what they do.

t’s a difficult situation. Do A and B know each other? I imagine they do, so honestly I think they should talk beforehand and clarify. If I intended well, A was the one who reported the cheating to B and to you but the cheating wasn’t her fault, isn’t it?
So B can be triggered by seeing A, but if they clarify the situation everything should be fine.


Otherwise, if a clarification isn’t possible since time is short, I suggest you to talk with A explaining her the reality and the fact B doesn’t want her to be at the party. I think honesty is always the way, especially with friends! I’m sure A can comprehend B reasons since she’s involved in the cheating fact. Obviously the thing is fresh so B needs more time to elaborate and move on things.
