it has been this wasy for years. I'm surprised I myself haven't given up hope that I might make a friend one day.

I might come across as a little weird as a result of having no friends or family.

Hope is a wonderful thing & as for you never give up, never give in & keep moving forward no matter what. The light at the end of the tunnel isn’t a freight train my friend so hang in there your doing fine.

Depends on what you mean by hope.

Hope for a huge birthday party? Probably not this week.

But hope to get friends? Definitely. Meetup. com, Facebook groups, and even Facebook dating are good ways of finding friends (especially meetup if you have niche interests and hobbies). Facebook dating can be used platonically too. Selecting chatting and friendship as your interests does that.
