Why do my friend and I sometimes click, but other times it's awkward?

Why do my friend and I sometimes click, but other times we don't? For instance, we met up yesterday at the pub and had the best time together and clicked really well. We got along like besties. She then invited me over today and when I went round it was a bit awkward and the conversation was forced and we weren't clicking as well. Why is this? Is this normal between friends?

Maybe one or both of you were feeling off today so that was the reason for your "not clicking." Maybe. And I wouldn't overthink this don't worry. Sometimes we have awkward moments with people even if we get along with them in general.

This happens to me as well I also don't know why, I'd be excited to the the dudes again next time I see them I'm just almost bored and want to go home
