What do you think of people in their 20's and up that still live with their families. Do you consider them failures?

None of my business. No point in moving out if you don’t have financial security. Get your job secured, save money, look for a house when you’ve saved enough & go from there. If you get along with your parents who cares.

Well, it depends on the circumstances, really. But, to give an extreme example, if someone has never had a job and sits at home playing games all day and not earning any money, yeah, definitely.

No, its normal in the culture I grew up with and I prefer it to be that way. Living with or without the family that created you doesn't make you a failure, other things do.

No, a 20 year old has been a legal adult for only 2 years. Most of them dont have the money to buy a house yet, and renting "just because" is stupid.

I moved out of my parent's home when I joined the USAF at 18. I stayed there for about 3 months after my discharge and before I started school. Even as a teen I gave most of my pay to my mom to buy food. Even after I started working in the 80s I sent what I could afford home. I don't have a lot of respect for people that are failures to launch!

No, everyone has different life experiences and situations. Maybe they are still in college or maybe they are saving to buy a house. Maybe there is a family member that needs a lot of care.

That's actually normal in my country since the education system is different and most people finish college around their mid 20's, even late 20's, that without counting a possible specialization which takes another year.

Also, there are very few universities with dorms, is not common as in other places, we have to travel to uni every day.

It's a smart decision knowing how crappy the economy is now. It's also a common thing here because it's a 3rd world country and your earnings aren't enough to get you a rent and the government sucks.

Currently, I'm technically living "alone" in a hut where my other grand parents use to hang out but it's just a few steps away from my family's house in the same compound where you can just be monitored or they can just knock on your door or barge in. I don't have the privilege to truly have his own privacy. What's $8 a day here compared to $10-$20 an hour in first world countries? Yes I'm talking about the same job.

For real if I have the opportunity to work at Mc Donalds in USA, I'd take that opportunity and bring those dollars back to my country where everything is like 10x cheaper. I'd be considered rich just because of that.
