I think I humiliated a jerk once, was it still too much?

In 2020, when I was a HS senior some jerk and I were having an argument. As soon as I said this, he was silent for several seconds, until finally saying (his voice kind of trembling by then) ''Well lucky you.'' and he left.

This what my last part (said with a smile) during our argument when he asked if I talked about his mother:

At least I got two loving parents. You don't have a mother. She probably was so ashamed of you that you gave her a heart attack. You don't have a mother, LMAO. What you looking at me like that? Yes I did talked about your mother. AND WHAT? I can speak whatever the hell I want to. It's called freedom of speech. I'm not assaulting anyone. I'm just talking. By the way I have my cell with cam here.

I heard from others, he was crying afterwards, crying for two reasons; getting reminded his mother died giving birth to him and him saying he couldn't do anything. No doubt he was a jerk to others (a couple classmates didn't like him either) but I kind of felt bad afterwards. Was that too much?

Some classmates thought I had put him in his place but him and someone else said nope... that I didn't. They both thought it was more like he felt trapped in that argument and couldn't do anything.

That he's such an idiot that his own mother dying being ashamed of giving birth to him.. that he doesn't even have his mother's love. I made a couple jokes about it and he wanted to confront me about it. I pretty much said a ''yes and what''.

He was being a jerk to me and a couple other classmates. He would sometimes brag about himself too.

He excluded me from a group project once, shared my personal journal with others and said I was the 3rd ugliest girl in school.

Yet he previously fought two guys; one for calling him pussy and another for talking bad about his mother. He didn't cry with them. With me, he left and cried.

I guess so. Some people and my two friends still talk about the day I put him in his place. Sometimes I do wonder if that was a bit too far.

Most people in high school don't think about what they are saying and how they hurt someone else's feelings. It happened just let it go. Unless you know where he is and go apologize to him.
