Asked a friend if I could visit him and he hasn’t replied for 2 days- is he not interested in my visit?

I asked him if he would be up for meeting later this month and he told me he would like to spend some time together but he needs to check with work that he can take time off and to tell me the exact date. I told him possible dates and it’s been 2 days since then and he hasn’t even read the message. Bare in mind that I would come pretty soon, around the middle of the month, so want as much time as possible to prepare. Do you think this means he just isn’t interested in my visit?
