i m not comfortable in accepting it because its actually of his friend ( he took something from his friend and gave it to me) if i return it will he feel bad?
No, you should not accept an expensive gift from your boyfriend because of 2 main reasons.
1. The gift is not a real gift that was purchased by your boyfriend but only something that was given to him. It is very impolite to give something that one has received to someone else and does not really show that your boyfriend is mature enough.
2. You being under 18 also signifies that your relation with your (current) boyfriend is not likely to last past a period of a few weeks or months. Accepting an expensive gift from someone, knowing that the relation is likely to be severed in a few months is not really an acceptable behavior.
Teenagers do not have the necessary understanding of the depth of a relation and mainly those in the age group 13-16 are just experimenting around because they follow the call of their hormones.
It would be something else if you were aged 30+ and one could expect you to go into a relation that is expected to last for a number of years. In that case, an expensive gift could be accepted but again, only if this present has been genuinely purchased by the boyfriend and not just given to him by another person.
