Expensive gifts from the boyfriend. How should I react?

My boyfriend (27 years) and me (19) have been dating for about 4 months. We really love each other and planning to live together in the near future:) The problem is that he has always been giving me not only lot of small but cute presents but also REALLY Expensive ones.

I just don't know what to do.. I mean I can't afford to do the same toward him( I am just a student) whereas he has already finished Medical School and working) Please don't think that he is trying to "buy" me with all that presents-it's not true) He told me that he feels so happy to make ME happy!:) hah And yea) he is not bad looking or something))) I am telling that because someone might say that he is trying to buy my beauty)- it's not true!) so what should I do?))) Please help!

btw he used to have a long relationship before which last about 4 years) but then they broke up and he met me:)

I do not like getting gifts as well, I think the only one I would really like to have that is expensive would be my engagement ring. I know how you feel though my boyfriend showers me with gifts, dinners, pays for everything he helps me out and I love the help but also feel the same way that I can not give him back what he gives me. I only make about 60,000 a year and he makes a sh*t ton more than me. The best thing to do is just accept the things but make it clear how they make you feel. Let him know that you are okay with the gift because it is from him but you would rather just be with him for him. Most men including my boyfriend who are used to girls using them for their money will do this until you make it clear that you are in it for him and not the money. hope this helps.

honey..what to do? BE HAPPY! you just don't believe how nice he is :)) & buy gifts that suit your budget. he knows your a student & such a man isn't looking for smth from you. he just wants to make you happy! Be happy dear :)

of course it is, age is an important factor, and even if he was mature you wouldn't want him to excel you, so I'd say be careful.
