Sadly, I had to go back to work two weeks after he was born so I wasn't able to nurse him myself. I worked too far away, so I couldn't go home on my lunch hour to feed him either.
Back in the day, if you were pregnant and working, your employer would make you stop working on your due date and you would get 6 weeks off, period!
My due date of the 14th came and went. He didn't come until the 24th. But those wasted weeks counted as maternity leave.
Family leave policies are so much different now. It's a win win situation now, because the Dad can get time off as well.

Yess breast pumped for my 1st for 6 months. He had a tongue tie and couldn't latch. My 2nd breastfeed for 2 years. 3rd I've been breastfeeding for 11 months now and I plan on breastfeeding my 4th too. Still deciding if I want to feed them together or not like tandem feeding. Seems like a lot of work but I'll probably keep up with it
yes, but only breast fed some of them (I have 40. One wouldn't. He was too rough and very hungry all the time! He was born 9.9oz! I am petite and tiny and felt it was ruining our bonding. Pumped for 6 weeks, moved on. He was much happier and so was I! Each baby is different! Only you will/do now best in my opinion!
Yeah, I heard that "ideally" the mom is supposed to breastfeed for 6-12 months (putting it in quotation because I'm sure it varies and depends on the situation). If I'm able to, I'd think I'd most want to breastfeed, maybe donate if I have enough lol.
I nursed my oldest until she weened herself off the breast at 30 months. I am nursing her baby sister now, she is 12 months. She has started some solids but still nurses 5 tiems a day and I pump after each feeding.
I breast fed for almost three months. By then most of the health benefits have been realized. Life goes back to normal somewhat and you have more time to do the 1000 other things a new mom needs to do.
Yup i have my twin boys n they r 5 n half now n i m still breastfeeding them
I think this is the most soulful n loveliest thing for a mum to do for her kids... u can't really find a better way to bond with themAll three! Started weaning them off just before one year of age. They all seemed to develop their teeth a little earlier than expected.
I desperately want to be able to breastfeed when I have a Child I even have never gotten my nipples pierced because I don't want it to mess up my nipples
I'm not sure if I want to have kids since I'm running out of time for that, but if I do yes I'll breastfeed them.
Yes both were breastfed for about 4 months. I was not very good at it. At lease they got some.
