Is there a phone number you can call for people who need to be in a mental institution?

The cops can’t really can’t do anything in this situation because of mental illness, This morning around 9 o’clock I got a call from my neighbor asked me to go help his wife who was stuck in her house because a crazy lady was trying to break into our house she’s been doing this for a while she went to a mental health facility last year for a year and she’s recently back. But she’s constantly doing this, my other neighbor who went over with me said she tried swinging on him when he was about to try to go to work around 4am handing in the bushes and shit of course my neighbor found her on his property told her to go home and she swung on him. He did manage to get her back home but still. (Back to this morning). So we go over there we call the cops the cop gets her back home and come back to talk to us, He said there nothing much we can do about it but “since the squeaky wheel gets the oil” hopefully if we call them enough they have to do something about it. But there’s a specific number you have to call I can’t remember what it is

She's emotionally distressed or on meds and needs social worker and housed in mental facility til better.

I've never seen that specifically in my areas... but there's lots of such people wandering around NYC.

In my country police do mental healt and welfare checks. But call an ambulance next time, say she’s having a psychotic break

Yea they can’t take her away unfortunately, We need to bring back force institutionalization in order to fix the problem.
